Location: Bloomington, Indiana
Tingian Ventures is looking for a Ruby On Rails developer to assist in the development, maintenance, and coordination of online SaaS applications. In this role, you will work directly with Tingian’s CEO and development firm to build new SaaS applications for the search engine marketing industry. This is an excellent opportunity to work at an exciting start-up company, gain professional development experience, and help build cutting-edge web-based software from the ground up.

Daily Responsibilities• Assist the development team with core coding tasks• Write clean code for smaller assignments as needed• Develop solutions for problems with application usability • Monitor and maintain applications to ensure functionality• Communicate between the development team and Tingian’s CEO
Periodic Responsibilities• Provide IT support for users• Assist with the Tingian Ventures website
Requirements• Expert knowledge of Ruby On Rails• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field; or equivalent work experience• 1-3 years professional web development experience• Ability to work full time (40-45 hours per week)• Positive, “can-do” attitude• Ability to be organized and detail-oriented• Desire to continually learn and work on unfamiliar tasks• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• Good communication and personal skills• Ability to work on-site at our Bloomington, Indiana office
Pluses• Experience with other coding languages, particularly PHP and .NET and front-end development• Experience with consumer-based web and SaaS applications• Knowledge of the search engine marketing (SEM) industry
Compensation• The first 4 weeks of work are considered a trial period, and you will be paid as an independent contractor• If both Tingian and you feel that you are a good fit after this trial period, you will be taken on as a full-time employee, with a yearly salary and benefits
