most minimalist brief and turn into quality design conceptsThe ability to code to valid W3C standards a bonus but not ultimately required at this stage.We’re looking for a talented front end web designer/ developer for a
range of ongoing creative work and development on an initial freelance
basis
You will need a sense of humour, a good looking portfolio of
previous work to show, and a ‘not to take life too serious’ attitude to
get the gig with us
We work in Australia’s first sustainable commercial workspace
located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney; a eco friendly and funky
light filled office complex community that balances lifestyle and work,
neck ties strictly not allowed; we have also an onsite gym, swimming
pool (which you can use day or night), we are close to shops, child
daycare and main bus routes.
Also important for this role are:
2 – 3 years solid experience in producing crisp and clean designs;
Front end creative and coding ability including coding tableless css/xhtml
A good understanding of good design principles and SEO considerations
Ability to speak with the end client and translate requirements into functional web design layouts and architecture
Enthusiasm and open to learn new processes and technology
A portfolio of work. did we mention that alreadY?
We would like but these are not showstoppers
Experience with Jquery, Javascripting and intermediate flash development/ animation
A business awareness that deadlines and budget are all part of the design process
Knowledge or awareness of the range of content management systems on the market
Ability to fit in with a small but growing team.
Overall we are looking for someone with personality who has the skills to work with us.
