Cinci Engineering/San Jose, CAAs consumer electronic (CE) devices become ever more powerful, so do the platforms they are based on. The next generation of CE products are becoming the world's de facto computing devices. Our Computer Science Lab in San Jose, CA, is developing next generation operating systems for CE devices including mobile and home platforms. We are looking to bring new talent to our lab to help build this vision. We are interested in Architects as well as well qualified Researchers. Operating System and Browser Architects and Researchers
Qualifications:
MS in Computer Science (PhD preferred) with a minimum of 5 years' experience for Architect positions; or
MS in Computer Science (PhD preferred) with 10+ years' experience for Researcher positions
Deep expertise in one or more of the following areas is essential:
Embedded Operating Systems (Linux, microkernels and hypervisors being particularly relevant)
Browsers
Mobile User Interfaces
Augmented Reality
Skills:
Expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
Scheduling algorithm design and prototyping
OS resource management (incl power management) and QoS modeling and architecture
Kernel-level debugging and performance optimization.
Linux, L4, QNX development.
Webkit, Gecko development
Image recognition and processing
Embedded/Mobile phone systems development including applications, middleware, and system software (including drivers).
Graphics libraries such as OpenGL, Cairo, Mesa
Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, HTTP, AJAX, JavaScript, LAMP, ASP, SQL, CGI, XMPP, etc.
Parallel processing and parallel programming incl TBB, OpenCL, CUDA and OpenMP
SDK design and development.
Good programming skills in common programming languages such as C and C++
Proven research track record including refereed journal or conference publications and patents
Experience in either an academic or a corporate R&D environment will be a plus.
Excellent communication and team working skills with a willingness to work with an international team to deliver rapid prototypes.
