• Attach Open Systems hosts to EMC Symmetrix arrays and Clariion CX arrays
• Install, update, configure and troubleshoot Emulex/Qlogic/vendor-badged HBA drivers and firmware
• Create RAID groups, bind LUNs, and perform LUN masking. Present logical devices to OS via Fibre Channel or iSCSI protocols.
• Install & configure host-based applications such as PowerPath, Snapview admhost, Solutions Enabler
• Set up DR solutions between EMC arrays or third-party & EMC arrays. Install array-based software such as Clariion MirrorView / Snapview / Sancopy as well as setup replication and/or backup solutions.
• Perform data migration using array-based features / software, including Clariion LUN migration, Clariion Sancopy, Open Replicator, RepliStor
• Load NAS code and configure EMC Celerra NS integrated and gateway systems for NFS, CIFS, and multi-protocol file access. Use Celerra AVM or manually configure storage pools. Create file systems and export them for NFS / CIFS / both.
• Join CIFS servers to AD and manage ACL via local groups. Troubleshoot networking related issues. Access provisioned networked shares and exports.
• Understand and be able to troubleshoot or design backup and archive systems.
• Install and configure CAVA and NDMP backup solutions
• Install and configure VMware, VCB, Vranger and SRM solutions
• Perform data migration from legacy / third-party NAS systems to Celerra using host-based utilities
• Configure Celerra IP replication
• Provide knowledge transfer to the customer to facilitate optimal usage of EMC products
• Provide technical input and assist customer troubleshoot issues on- and off-site
• Act as a mentor and provide technical training to peers, customers and other groups as needed
Additional Job Qualifications:
• Storage Networking (EMC) and VMWare experience desired
4+ years experience in IT, professional services and/or customer support organizations
• Technical knowledge and experience in EMC, VMware, Microsoft and Cisco desired.
• Advanced Cisco knowledge, experience and certifications (CCIE) highly desirable
• IP Telephony and call/contact center knowledge a plus
• Possess a broad understanding of IT and business operations
• Experience presenting to and interfacing with upper level management
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and communications issues
• Technical team lead with delivery track record
• Account relationship and project management skills
• Highly detail oriented and does not leave anything to chance
• Ability to self manage work, time, and priorities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong educational background and the desire to learn
