Responsibilities
• Manage the design process by generating mock-ups of user interaction and working with developers to ensure the correct design is implemented.
• Provide detailed guidance to engineering, QA and functional and technical documentation to ensure the 'right' product gets delivered with each release.
• Help shape the design and development process incorporating end user input.
Requirements
• Knowledge of and experience with applied HCI methods
• Excellent listening, verbal and written skills
• Outstanding information architecture, interaction design and visual design skills
• Strong analytical skills and technical understanding of enterprise software applications
• The ability to correlate different opinions and input from a variety of sources and make informed design decisions
• Proven experience working with development teams to ship high quality products
• Leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong creative problem solving skills
Education and Typical Years of Experience
• Experience in interaction and visual design for enterprise software, or similar experience
• At least 7 years of experience in user interface design including dashboard and scorecard experience
• 3 years of experience with AJAX/web 2.0 design
• Master's degree or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science with a UI/UX design focus, or Cognitive Science/Psychology with experience in design
