The area's most dynamic independent retail group is looking for an IT Administrator to oversee our computer network and Point of Sale systems. This position holds responsibility for the entire Conscious Corner network, encompassing six businesses in two locations (Clarksville and Olney).
First and foremost, we are looking for someone who has some awareness and understanding about ecological issues, agriculture and food issues, animal welfare, fair trade, wellness, and has demonstrated personal lifestyle choices in alignment with these values.
In addition, we are looking for someone with the required technical skills, and the ability to function effectively in the fast-paced atmosphere of a retail environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills are vital, along with the ability to pay great attention to details, task management, priorities and timelines. Candidates must be able to accept input from multiple sources and prioritize their time effectively.
We are seeking an administrator with entry-level or mid-level IT skills, someone who knows a little bit about a lot of things, and who is motivated and interested in learning and growing with the organization.
Technical skills:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP Pro & Server, basic pc, printer and network
hardware, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, DNS, DHCP, Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec Endpoint Protection. Experience with user support and troubleshooting.
Other Requirements
Great attention to detail, task management, priorities and timelines
Ability to learn new software and hardware with ease
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Ability to work smoothly under pressure
Awareness of and interest in “green†business practices
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, html (preferred)
