Summary:We seek a programmer with demonstrated experience and other complimentary skills to join our team. Ideally, you will have experience with ActionScript programming, but we will also consider other programming skills with a willingness to learn AS3. The position requires that the candidate learn and use GestureWorks (www.gestureworks.com) our multitouch framework for Flash and Flex.

Qualifications:Beyond technical skills, we are looking for someone with strong conceptual and information design skills, and organizational ability. Experience with hardware, systems engineering, and physical exhibits is a strong plus. An interest in art, science, history, and the other educational topics we explore is also important.

- Demonstrated experience programming- Flash, Flex and ActionScript experience, a strong plus- Demonstrated graphic design experience, a strong plus- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Hardware and systems engineering experience, a plus- Experience with CSS, XML, and JavaScript a plus- Experience with digital audio and/or video, a plus- Ability to work in a team environment or to be self-directed- A strong interest in science, art, history, and social issues- Experience in the museum or non-profit world, a plus- College degree a plus, not a requirement

The Position: We seek a full-time, on-site designer and developer to work with our creative team including our Creative Director and Lead Designer. The position is offered as fixed-term position of one-year: it may however turn into a fulltime position. This position is being offered, as our Lead Designer will be moving to a part-time position as he pursues a degree.

Ideum is moving into the development of multi-touch enabled exhibits with installations planned for 2009. We will be releasing a multi-touch, multi-table and multi-touch enabled kiosk with a software suite. We seek a designer with the range and flexibility to tackle both Web and computer-based exhibit design.
