- Must be able to set up development environment.
- Perform unit and integration tests for complex application features.
- Responsible for translating functional to technical requirements, programming and development of applications.
- Perform complex systems analysis and recommend technical solutions to assist in achieving project objectives.
- Develop accurate time estimates for the assigned tasks , and provide a detailed work-breakdown structure for those tasks
- Must maintain project code integrity and technical documention in source control management system.
- Perform code review with and project knowledge transfer to the team
- This project is to consolidate, convert and migrate data from a legacy database to a new database to support the protein production laboratory information management system

Job Qualifications:

- 4 - 6 years of Oracle data analysis, data migration and PL/SQL development experience
- Application development experience with Unix, Oracle, PL/SQL, Java, Javascript, XML, XSLT, Web servicesSkills needed
- Excellent written/oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Must possess strong time management skills and be results oriented
- Subversion experience a plus
- Expertise on Oracle database and PL/SQL a must
- Experience in scientific application development and drug discovery knowledge in the life sciences industry is highly desirable

Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Packaging Engineer with experience in Consumer Product Packaging.  The Package Engineer will provide technical direction for open stock product production at all contract packaging and/or manufacturing facilities including, all technical support and documentation.  He or she will develops all open stock packaging materials, technical documentation, provides technical support in all packaging related areas (package development, graphics design, print production and quality assurance).  This individual will also provide technical data input to all internal and external systems including SAP, System for Launch & Change Implementation (SLCI) and GS1 for all Open Stock packaging requirements.
Job Responsibilities:

Manages technical aspects of all packaging related initiatives to partner companies and contract packagers.  Provide frequent communication and direction to various depts. (i.e. Packaging,
Purchasing, Distribution, Package Engineering, Quality etc.) to assure quality, suitability and timing of materials being produced.
Develops timelines for project implementation and organizes teams to manage projects through to completion.
Develop structural design concepts for new products and/or in-pack promotions.  Provide designs and associated costs to Sales and Trade Marketing.
Develops technical specifications for the creation and change management of all Packaging related documentation including: Bills of Materials, Material Specifications; Contractor Instructions for control of product production.
Develop and recommend cost saving alternatives to Sales and Marketing management capitalizing on new technological developments and industry trends.
Directs and supports the Graphics Planner and Graphic Design function to ensure accurate and timely completion of all assigned tasks.
Provide technical support and guidance to the Sales team on product design for retail, distribution and assigned retailer related projects.

 
Job Qualifications:

BS/BA Degree in Package Design & Engineering or related field.
4-6 years experience in Pharmaceutical or Consumer Goods industry in the area of Package Engineering/Package Design & Development.
Knowledge of Contract Packaging and purchasing principals.  Experience or knowledge of OTC packaging is a plus.
Experience in Material Quality Assurance, cGMP and Regulatory labeling requirements for OTC drugs, package production technology.
Knowledge of the OTC retail market and practices.
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to travel (may include overnight travel).
