Position Overview: SCEA is currently looking for a highly-talented Network Engineer to act as an industry expert and leader in network programming on PlayStation® platforms. This individual should be passionate about digital commerce, web technologies and social networking, and be able to use their knowledge to collaborate with industry-leading game developers. If this is you, we want you to assist those developers in leveraging one of the largest gaming-related communities in the world to deliver amazing experiences.
Required Knowledge / Skills:
• At least 2 years of professional low-level network or systems programming experience using C/C++, C#/.NET, or Java• Working knowledge of authentication mechanisms, DRM, SSL/crypto, and related topics.• Ability to explain detailed technical topics in code as well as oral and written forms
Experience with the following a plus:• Data security, prioritized payloads, cheat prevention and host migration in client-server and peer-to-peer game architectures.• Networked game development experience• Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.• Demonstrated ability to learn new hardware platforms and related APIs.• Understanding of the network technologies and trends that most affect the game industry
