Yoh/Greenbelt, MDYoh has a contract opportunity for an Algorithm Developer to join our client in Greenbelt, Maryland.
Job Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will perform the following activities along with other related work:
- Performs the activities involved with the requirements gathering, design, development, testing, integration, performance optimization and documentation of a complex weather data processing system for the next generation GOES-R satellite
- Evaluate science algorithm designs to understand operational implementation.
- Develop science algorithm operational requirements
- Perform software design and development tasks to implement science algorithm code in the operational system
- Participate in requirements, design and test reviews to ensure high product quality.
Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in the development of algorithms
- Math background or experience implementing math intensive application
- Experience with Clearcase, Eclipse, Ant and automated testing using CppUNIT
- Good teamwork skills as part of a multi-discipline project team.
- Ability to estimate time and effort on development projects and tasks.
- Knowledgeable and proficient with C, C++ development on UNIX (Linux)
- Knowledge of automated testing and management of dynamic integration environments
