Yoh/Honolulu, HIYoh has a direct hire opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our client in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Possession of or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance is required as a condition of employment. This particular clearance requires United States citizenship to be eligible.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes, designs, builds, and tests assigned system components
- Works with business analysts and customers to determine requirements and business rules, and documents such when needed
- Applies engineering practices to software development including feasibility analysis and proof-of-concept
- Leads small groups where assigned
- Proposes and implements software development process improvements.
Job Qualifications:
- 10+ years work experience building and deploying data-driven systems.
- Must have extensive work experience programming in C#, Ruby, and Flex.
- JavaScript and PERL are also preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in writing SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures.
- Work experience with the Microsoft Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence stack including SQL Server, Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), Analysis Services (SSAS), and PerformancePoint Services with SharePoint - is a huge plus.
- Demonstrated experience in working under both agile (Extreme Programming) and structured software development methodologies is preferred.
- Demonstrated professional leadership is desired.
- A bachelor or master degree in Computer Science is required.
- Working with remote customers and partners, excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as is formal documentation.
- Able to work in the downtown Honolulu office.
