Your Next Challenge:
• Work closely with developers and architects throughout each phase of every release cycle ensuring quality from design to fast-paced execution.
• Perform reviews and quality audits of source code, architectural and design specifications. Document, and communicate test reports, defect analysis, and risks.
• Develop and execute coded tests. Identify, analyze, and document defects, errors, and inconsistencies in program functions, outputs, online screens and content.
• Apply process improvement strategies and methodologies, Propose improvements to cross-team quality practices, and assist in documenting/implementing new process and procedures.
• May oversee the work of one or more test personnel on a particular project.
• Design, implement, and execute automated unit tests for entire integrated systems.
What You’ll Need:
• Demonstrated competence as an SDET or equivalent work experience.
• BS in computer science or software engineering preferred, equivalent training and experience considered.
• 3-5 years experience in QA and/or software development field designing and executing white box, Integration, automated, and/or load tests.
• Experience providing technical leadership and direction to a test team.
• Deep knowledge of the software life cycle, configuration management, and project management concepts.
• 3+ years experience with automation, unit, and/or white box testing.
• 2-4 years experience with Open Source testing frameworks: Selenium, Rspec, TestUnit
• Strong interest in object oriented and MVC design and testing on systems developed using Ruby, Merb, and Ruby on Rails
• Demonstrated proficiency understanding the need for and developing various internal test tools.
• Proven ability to mentor others in writing and executing coded tests.
• Ability to communicate increasingly complex issues to other test personnel, developers, PM’s and other leads/management. Understands and can explain impact to Getty customers and business process.
• Self motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision in an environment that requires strong teamwork and cross-functional interaction.
• Ability and willingness to make appropriate decisions. Displays ability to solicit input and disseminate information.
• Works with the leads and management of other groups to resolve important issues that affect deliverables, schedule, or other QA commitments.
• Hands-on experience in Performance/Stress/Load testing for enterprise-level web-based and client server projects a plus.
