3M Corporate SEMS Laboratory is seeking an entry level BS/MS Application Software Product Development Engineer with user interface focus. This position is located on the 3M campus located in Maplewood, MN. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing software application product opportunities, including customer contact, requirements, product design, implementation, and commercialization.

Relocation authorized within US per 3M Relocation Policy

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* BS, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with software emphasis or related field.
* Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
* 6-months experience in object-oriented technology within a school or work environment..

Preferred Qualifications:

* MS/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with software emphasis or related field.
* Mobile application development.
* Interest or experience in embedded software development, application software development, especially for Windows platforms and for deployment on the web.
* Experience using technologies for user interface development such as Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Silverlight, ASP.NET or similar (e.g. JSP).
* Graphic design tool skills such as Adobe Photoshop
* Knowledge or skills in software engineering methodology including documentation, configuration management, and verification/validation.
* Skilled in .NET, C#, C++ and Java.
