Location: Menlo Park, CA
SRI International is looking for a senior iPad developer who will collaborate with the design team and server team to design and implement ground breaking iPad applications. This is a 6-9 month contract position, and will require significant (several times per week) on-site interaction with our team in Menlo Park, CA.
Essential Functions:
- UI development lead, with responsibility to ensure an efficient and stable application- Debug and profile apps, fix memory leaks and improve stability- Handle data, notification and persistence issues on the client- Integrate with server-side API
Required Skills:
- Expertise in iPhone/iPad development, including building applications with both standard and custom UI components, and connecting applications to back end services- Proven attention to detail and high standards for quality; excellent verbal and written communications skills
Experience: - 4+ years developing applications in a team environment- Proven experience with Cocoa / Objective C and UI development- Must have iPad/iPhone SDK experience, with minimum 6 months experience developing applications for the iPad/iPhone and significant code contributions to application on the Apple App Store. - BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Bonus:
- Significant experience with ePub or other electronic book format- Background in Human Computer Interaction, AI, or reasoning systems- Understanding of user centered design methods, interface design, and usability testing- Demonstrated ability to design compelling interfaces or content in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash or equivalent, and to prototype interfaces and systems in Flash, Java, HTML or equivalent.
