Our tech team engineers robust and scalable systems, leveraging C# 3.0, F#, and VS2010. Our servers run in the cloud, and our thin clients target PCs, Macs, phones and other devices.

Senior .NET Engineer - SystemsThe successful candidate:
• is an expert .NET developer with deep understanding of C# 3.0 and the .NET 3.5 framework• has many years of experience in software development, with a clear focus on system engineering and architecture• may have a background in a number of languages including C++• may come from a game or other real-time distributed system background• is able to demonstrate a deep understanding of architectural models and patterns• is proficient in object-, component-, service-, and agent-oriented design• has a good understanding of distributed object models and networking• is ready to take responsibility for design, testing, implementing and maintaining entire services, and is able to integrate these services into the larger system• has excellent written and verbal communication skills
The successful applicant will assist with building and maintaining our portal site to connect users with a suite of online games. As our services are in the cloud, it is vital that they consume resources such as compute, bandwidth, storage and database transactions efficiently. It is your responsibility to help design, implement, document and maintain these systems.
GamesLab pays above market rates for the best developers. We ask all applicants to sit a formal aptitude test.
This position is in-house at our Sydney CBD-based studio.
