Working as an Associate Technical Support Analyst, you will provide a high level of skills in identification and resolution of complex product/service problems and will be required to have a high level of knowledge of one or more reported products/services within the business unit. You will be responsible for conducting complex system emulation/simulation activities to identify problems, coordinate with Network/Engineering on system modifications/changes and problem resolution with Field staff.

Additional Responsibilities:

Coordinate with and interact as an advocate to the vendor to resolve technical issues as well as troubleshoot with vendors, customers, and peers, and perform root cause analysis

Implement changes to new or existing products and features and will need to have the Use skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures

Report to a second level manager

Must be available to work in a 24x7x365 environment

Occasional travel may be required

The successful candidate should possess advanced troubleshooting/problem determination skills with Cisco products, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP), MPLS; intrusion detection, virus scanning , e-mail gateway, and firewall technology. The determination to increase skills to meet changing customer requirements; and possess a BSCS/EE degree or equivalent or 7 years diversified WAN experience desired. In addition, the candidate should possess or desire to achieve certifications such as CCNA or CCNP. Familiarity with network security concepts is a plus. 

Candidate for this position should be able to work independently and with peer, customer, and supplier teams; to prioritize numerous deliverables on multiple projects; interface directly with all levels of management; and to develop and schedule reports through multiple InfoServers using custom databases. Must be willing to submit and successfully complete Government Agency Clearance request. Work location is Oakton, VA.

This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T's compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of Transport systems in Central Office, SONET, DCS, SLC/DLC, NGDLC, MUX (sonet and asycnchronous)

Expertise in Operations Support Systems (OSS) including, but not limited to, WMS, BMP II, TMAS, System X, Netsmart, NMA, Naviscore, TIRKS, WFA/DI, WFA/C, LMOS, Session Manager, DBSCID, remote CIT, GEO-Link, MS Office

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science Degree

Three to five years technical work experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, decision making, facilitation, and interpersonal skills

Experience with Microsoft applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as Intranet, Sun Workstations and Open Mail

Basic database management skills

Description

The segment that this position supports, provides "mission oriented" IT and network centric professional and pull through telecommunication services for an AT&T Government Solutions National Information Systems (NIS) U.S. Govt. customer in Northern Va.

The Business Manager will have responsibility to support a broader business development team with the identification, development, and capture of new business opportunities in support of this segment's sales and financial targets & objectives. These business opportunities will be a mix of "organic" growth (customer directed and direct to contract "task order" and ECP support) leveraging the existing Mogul contract and new sales initiatives within the target customer set.

In support of these broad high level objectives, the Business Manager will work closely with various internal AT&T teams (e.g. contracts, supplier management, pricing, sales, sales enablement / proposal, product house, etc.) and external suppliers, partners, and subcontractors in support of "cradle to grave" ownership and support of AT&T business opportunities from their identification, capture / proposal, to the hand off of new business to the program management teams after deal closure and initial kick off the effort. The Business Manager will be based out of the AT&T Oakton VA office, but will perform frequent local travel in the DC metro area to meet with various customers, AT&T staff and business partners. It is anticipated that this position will be an individual contributor position, with no direct reporting employees. Position must be preparesd to deal with uncertainty relative to capturing new business since majority of sales are custom configurations. Key responsibilities for this position include:

- Business opportunity identification (organic to Mogul and new).

- Opportunity Funnel Management

- Proposal and Capture Functions

- Internal / External Partner Coordination

- Functional oversight of program control, procurement, property & network services acquisition.

- Support Business Opportunity Recruiting

- Assist with the launch of new initiatives or projects and transition to ongoing operations group.

- Support other adhoc initiatives as required, including direct to contract support.

As previously stated this position will require work primarily at the AT&T office in Oakton, VA,. Routine travel between customer sites and AT&T locations for meeting attendance will be required. Occasional domestic travel may also be required. Excellent verbal and written communications skills a must and knowledge of US contracting & acquisition practices a definite plus. Knowledge of information technology and telecommunications is also a must for this position. Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline required.

Candidates must be a US Citizen and the position requires a Top Secret security clearance with SCI accesses and CI Polygraph. After initial hire, the candidate must be willing to sit for and obtain Full Scope Polygraph.
