Leland Management is looking for qualified individuals to join the IT team in Department Management, Systems Administration and User Support.
Key Responsibilities:
Manager
Summary
• Manager will direct and oversee operational needs of the IT department
• Help provide long-term plan(s); supervise daily execution of projects; manage team members as well as external consultants; ensure excellent training and support; enhance of our infrastructure
IT strategic planning and system design
• Establish and execute a long-term plan for hardware, data, voice, other systems, user support / service level
• Direct the implementation and maintenance of all technology architecture, including network, servers, workstations, connectivity, backup and information security
Procurement and external vendor management
• Administer IT purchasing and asset management
• Negotiate agreements and manage relationships with IT vendors, consultants and suppliers
Team leadership
• Lead and develop a team to support growing organizational needs
• Effectively balance our use of internal resources and external vendors
System Administration and User Support
Summary
• Maintain TEAM's computer hardware/software and provide quality service to the team and clients
• Help provide technical PC user support particularly with regard to PC hardware and software.
• Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Manager, operate, maintain, upgrade and support a Windows computer network including hardware, software and communication devices.
• Have a high level of technical expertise
System administration
• For hosted services, ensure server maintenance, maximizing bandwidth, connectivity, uptime and speed
• Ensure support for networking equipment (incl. switches, routers, access points, wireless controllers, etc)
• Coordinate the Exchange and Active Directory administration, including distribution lists, mailboxes, message routing, and storage, file permissions, etc
• Oversee information security, backups and content filtering
• Provide support for other technical systems, including communications, website, etc
• Support and maintain TEAM's proprietary computer hardware/software
User support / service level management
• Ensure excellent user support for computers, printers, servers, A/V equipment and other systems
• Oversee high-quality, accessible training on systems for team
Candidate Qualifications:
• Significant experience in IT, with several years managing tech support
• Relevant degree, certification, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of standard networking equipment and design standards (voice and data)
• Understanding of leading edge technologies, including various knowledge management platforms
• Expertise in PC hardware and software configuration and troubleshooting, expertise in Windows operating systems and information system concepts
• Ability to perform hardware and software upgrades, repairs and routine maintenance on hardware and peripheral equipment
• Ability to configure and install desktop computing and peripheral devices and provide follow-up support.
• Microsoft Office Professional products (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Power Point, etc.) including using and installing them in a network environment
• Internet, Internet Explorer and installing and using communication system products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate well with team members at all levels.
• Must be task oriented and able to manage multiple priority tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of the practices and computerized systems used in real estate operations would also be helpful especially Property Management Software i.e. TOPS by 212 Software.
• Other helpful skill sets are Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP) level or other computer certifications. Experience in Windows Server, Symantec Ghost Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Internet Information Server, Document Imaging and Web Page design and maintenance.
• Ability to communicate with employees and to train users in computer procedures and systems.
• Experience with the following environments including installation of, maintenance and upgrades: Ethernet concepts; TCP/IP, FTP, networking software, user support, Windows operating systems.
