Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Java "Superstar" who would be interested in working on a team in the Tampa Bay area, focused on delivering high quality software, using agile development practices. The candidate will be primarily developing Java web applications using J2EE (JEE) technology.
Skills/Requirements:
Duties may include but are not limited to:
· Participate as part of an Agile/Scrum development team
· Work with product owners to help refine software requirements based on Marketing and Product requirements
· Create and document software designs to meet requirements
· Implement design, document, unit test, and fix defects
· Responsibilities include use of process tools for configuration management and defect tracking
· Work in collaboration with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Documentation writers and Technical Support to ensure the quality of the software products and components
· Mentor junior level software engineers
· Throughout the process, the engineer will work as a liaison with other team members, the product owner, marketing, and quality assurance.
· Very strong Java skills...a cut above the rest!
· Bachelor's degree in Information or Computer Science
· 2+ years of software development experience
· Java web application development
· A proven track record in building enterprise-class software products and solutions
· Experience developing multi-tier enterprise products using JEE technologies with RDBMS interaction (Java, JSP, Servlet, EJB, JNDI, JDBC)
· Basic understanding of PL/SQL, and relational database design
· Communication and written skills and the ability to integrate into a close teamwork environment
Skills which are not required, but are highly desired:
JBoss application server development
SIP, VoIP, VXML, other voice protocols and standards
Web Services frameworks
Java Server Faces w/ AJAX
C#, C++
UML and various modeling tools
