Position/Responsibilities:   Application Engineer
Position will be working with our engineering team to design solar PV systems with full adherence to Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Responsibilities include solar energy system design and layout, project cost estimating, performing energy production analysis, evaluating future technologies which will help lower cost of installation, and developing internal intellectual property products and offerings. Additionally, the position will require Coordination with sales team to respond to client proposals and work on projects estimates. The position may require providing technical support to operations team on an as needed basis. Some travel is required including site visits to evaluate new opportunities.
Key Requirements:

• Experience with engineering, design and permitting activities for commercial or utility applications.
• Understanding of solar panels, inverters and monitoring systems as part of large-scale solar energy systems.
• Understanding of mounting system solutions pertaining to ground and rooftop applications.
• Analytical and estimating skills
• Strong understanding of National Electrical Code.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
• Experience with energy modeling of solar PV systems like PVSYST.
• Degree in electrical/mechanical engineering with solar PV engineering experience. Masters degree preferred.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must.
• Must have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills.
• Innovative with a well-rounded business perspective.
• Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to accomplish goals.
• Ability and desire to learn and progress within your position.
• Able to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven challenging environment.
