Converseon, Inc./Plymouth, MIConverseon, an award winning social agency, is seeking a Front End Developer with extensive UI experience who has a history of positively contributing to innovative web applications, dynamic web sites and social communities. This position will require a deep understanding of HTML/(X)HTML, HTML5, CSS (yes, you too can use CSS3), JavaScript (all hail jQuery!) and basic wire-framing fu. The ideal applicant will have 3+ years of agency and/or application experience with a strong portfolio.
This is an onsite position in Plymouth, MI -- located in the metro Detroit area.
The ability to jump into a project and pick up concepts quickly is important. We practice bare-metal Agile so being able to work with-in a team and adapt to project's requirements is key.
A history of working directly and successfully with Ruby on Rails projects moves you to the top of our list. Experience with Git or SVN is also a plus.
The front end developer will be responsible delivering solid, clean and semantically happy application HTML/CSS from both existing templates and finalized PSD files. In addition, he/she will handle core JavaScript functionality and should be comfortable with the basics of an Ajax event patterns.
Under the guidance of an uber talented team lead, the developer will be responsible for the on going maintenance and visual well being of at least one production application. The developer will also participate in daily Agile stand-ups and will help, when needed, with application wireframes and functional HTML mocks to gather UI feedback.
