You are a creative, motivated, proactive, versatile, quick and agile developer with a voracious appetite for new technology and methodologies.
You are a web professional with expert presentation skills using CSS and HTML.
You are a talented application developer with the ability to do more than just utilize a jQuery or PHP plug-in out of the box.
You are able to read and modify anyone's code of any flavor as well as create and write your own.
You are an integration veteran who can work on any platform with any number and variety of tools. You are able to take business intent directly to prototyping and carry the product/functionality to fruition.
You are able to talk through your own code samples and articulate how you approached the design and execution.

Primary responsibilities:
- Web development in support of ABC News' digital products – including the website and mobile/emerging platforms. Includes new product development and existing product maintenance & enhancements.
Secondary responsibilities:
- Meetings, brainstorming, & collaboration with other teams in ABC News Digital to develop new product ideas & enhancements, as well as architecting technical solutions.
- Develop new skills and research new technologies
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Education: 4-year college degree
Work Experience: 3-5 Years
Technical Skills:
- 3-5 years web development experience, working with a structured programming language such as JavaScript, JSP, ASP, etc.
- Expert-level JavaScript
- HTML/CSS
- XML
- Understanding of Object-oriented programming fundamentals and multi-tier web architectures
- Experience working with a CMS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Equivalent
Work Experience: 5-7 Years
Technical Skills: Basic skills described above, plus web development experience in digital media. Experience with mobile/emerging platforms, Groovy language, and/or video platforms a plus.
