Serena & Lily, an upscale home décor and nursery bedding company in Sausalito, CA, is looking for a Mid-Level Front-End Web Developer to assist with the maintenance of our existing website.
This is a full time position.
The ideal candidate must have a passion for writing W3C Standards Compliant HTML and have the ability to create custom web applications based on concepts and mockups provided.
This is not a design role, however the candidate must be able to recreate Photoshop files in HTML with incredible attention to detail. The developer should notice subtle differences in color, font and negative space to ensure optimal translation from design to code.
Requirements
– Translate designs from Photoshop to HTML
– Hand code HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
– Verify code through W3C.org and BrowserCam or similar
– Optimize code for SEO
– Experience in an ecommerce setting
– Self motivated and honest
– 3+ years professional experience
Bonus:
– Worked with NetSuite and/or Scene7
– Write Facebook application code (FBML, PHP)
– Understand Flash Actionscript
– Interest in Bedding, Baby products or Home Décor
