You would be working with our DSP researchers and engineers to build cutting-edge music tools that work on mobile devices, the desktop, and the web. The ideal candidate has built large cross-platform music software, is proficient with real-time audio, math optimization, and is familiar with DSP algorithms. Responsibilities:

o Architect of audio and music analysis and synthesis platform
o Write / rewrite code, integrating, optimizing, improving existing algorithms
o Design and direct software portability, efficiency, and quality evaluation

The Ideal Candidate:

o Proficiency in C/C++, cross-platform compiling
o Proficiency in Python and in making Python libraries from C/C++
o Educational background in Computer Science, some Signal Processing
o Built real-time audio software and plug-ins

[Fulltime] - Director of Solutions at The Echo Nest

Location: Somerville, MA (Davis Square)

Responsibilities:

- Primarily responsible for delivering The Echo Nest's music intelligence platform to commercial customers and developers. - Design, implement and manage a best-in-class web services infrastructure for powering music search, personalization and interactive music applications for the best music services on the web.- Work directly with large commercial accounts to ensure we're exceeding customer expectations.- Manage a fast-growing team of engineers; take the lead in hiring additional engineering talent. The Ideal Candidate:- Customer-oriented engineer and manager who has successfully built a fast-growing software-as-a-service operation.- Excellent understanding of the digital music market and ideally familiarity with language processing, data mining and/or signal processing.- In-depth understanding of web services APIs. - A proven track record understanding market needs to prioritize product conception and delivery.
