Ando Media is looking for a DBA/Data Architect in it’s Boston office to help grow our existing database environment, construct a new data warehouse, and help our engineering team in setting up best practices for all database processes. • Provide architectural direction in collaboration with the development team and Client*s stakeholders.• Manage database security and ensure policies are reviewed regularly and enforced at all times.• Write SQL standards, procedures and keeping the data dictionary and model up-to-date • Review all database objects for data integrity, quality, recoverability, scalability, maintenance and capacity • Deploy database changes to staging and production. • Develop, manage and test backup/disaster recovery plans for all SQL servers • Define and develop a multi-year technical plan for database development • Research, and design date warehouse plan and strategies • Perform administration tasks on SQL Server to ensure performance (replication, tuning, configuration, troubleshooting, etc ) • Documents technical standards and mentors development personnel in their use • Meets with project managers, engineering, and development staff to ensure continuing dialog and promote the discipline of data architectureQualifications• Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Nine or more years of experience in data analysis or computer programming • Experience working with programming design and coding languages• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 • Experience writing and optimizing T-SQL code, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers and indexes. • Experience working with OLAP and other data tools (QlikView) • Experience with Data Loading and ETL.• A passion for producing results• MA resident or willing to relocate
