The Role

The Director of Product Management will play a leadership role in the management and development of the WW.com product. At Weight Watchers, the online web presence is defined as a paid subscription site as well as an un-paid visitor site that focuses on acquisition. In this role, the Director will drive the enhancement and innovation of the visitor/marketing site functionality.

The Director will approach projects with a flexible, innovative approach, and a strong emphasis on data based recommendations and solutions. Candidates should be able to define strategic frameworks that clearly articulate consumer needs and changing industry trends, while assisting with effective decision making. He/she will be able to drive projects from an initial brainstorm through to their final execution on the site. In addition, the candidate must have a strong desire and ability to lead in a dynamic environment and base their success on developing strong collaborative relationships.

This position will report to the Vice President, Product Strategy and Development

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the development and management of key areas of the WeightWatchers web offering. This role will focus mainly on the visitor site consumer experience with a focus on increasing movement through consideration funnel (pre-consideration / consideration / purchase). Example projects include: Sign-up funnel re-designs, behavioral targeting within the visitor site suite of pages, implementation of global marketing campaigns
• Develop, implement and manage innovative ideas on the Visitor Site to drive greater relevance, engagement, and ultimately conversion
• Drive projects to completion including ensuring that they meet product and company objectives. Responsibilities within a project include: Analyzing and identifying consumer needs, spearhead requirements documents, business / market justifications, develop key performance indicators to measure success, act as a stakeholder and subject matter expertise, review work generated by internal teams in support of projects, play a key role in the QA process, communicate all project aspects across stakeholder departments
• Prioritize projects based on business impact and improving subscriber weight loss success. Focus on data-driven decisions that improve retention and relevance of the product among existing consumers and prospects
• Lead the development of presentations for a range of audiences, including senior executives, with attention to detail and the ability to highlight the project objectives, consumer impact, prioritization process, and technical requirements
• Actively work with Marketing and Product Analytics teams to develop testing strategy on the visitor site
• Oversee creative refresh queue prioritization with a focus on balancing initiatives by business need, impact, and a mix of visitor and subscriber site
• Prioritize projects based on business impact and improving subscriber weight loss success. Focus on data-driven decisions that improve retention and relevance of the product among existing consumers and prospects
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends with a focus on keeping WeightWatchers at the forefront
• Mange 1-2 direct reports and indirectly manage and collaborate with large cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Creative, Content)
