Role:

ï¶ Iinternal ‘Digital Expert' in all areas, including internet media (display, search, social, etc), online video, website engagement and email CRM management.
ï¶ Strategic oversight, management, and evolution of industry leading digital media program.
ï¶ Management of $50MM+ Digital Media & Marketing budget, on a brand and corporate level.
ï¶ Lead relationships with all Digital Agencies (media, social, web development, creative, eCRM, etc).
ï¶ Plan, coordinate and execute digital media & marketing activities, via agencies, in accordance with North American and Global strategic priorities.
ï¶ Champion and educate internal departments (Marketing, Finance, Trade, etc) on digital media & marketing efforts.
ï¶ Contributor to development of new e-tailing initiative.

Responsibilities:

ï¶ Work with Marketing and digital agencies to prepare annual digital media & marketing plans for individual brands in accordance with set objectives.
ï¶ Responsible for negotiating and evaluating digital agency contracts.
ï¶ Supervise activities of the digital agencies, web developers and other suppliers in connection with the online initiative, including review of media selection.
ï¶ Establish, develop and report on key metrics by which programs are evaluated, developing best practices to be shared globally.
ï¶ Review, analysis, and indicated actions for digital media, including optimization of placements, creative, site, and metrics. Make recommendations for improvement.
ï¶ Evaluate on a continuing basis the effectiveness of all digital media & marketing programs. Recommend to Marketing the future courses of action.
ï¶ Understand and recommend 3rd Party Market Research (i.e. Nielsen, IRI, Dynamic Logic, etc) programs to be implemented and analyzed for key digital initiatives.
ï¶ Reviews actual vs. budgeted costs of the digital initiatives, make budget adjustments and, control costs.
ï¶ Propose ways that digital media/programs can synergize between media, trade, and consumer promotions.
ï¶ Champion online marketing as a promotion tool including all aspects of website and newsletter content, couponing, sampling, sweepstakes and any online direct response programs from inception to evaluation.
ï¶ Directs the execution of interactive retention (i.e. eCRM) programs in line with strategic needs of the assigned brands.
ï¶ Active participation in Global Media best practices development (travel required)

Position Qualifications:

ï¶ 8 years in digital media (planning & buying), with experience at client-side or Senior Management at advertising agency
ï¶ Experience with large, Global brands
ï¶ Experience with larger picture of online Consumer Marketing (directly applicable experience preferred)
ï¶ Experience with online media negotiating, with full understanding of non-traditional media costs a plus
ï¶ Experience with managing websites and eCRM programs
ï¶ Proven skills in managing large budgets
ï¶ Proven track record to increase sales, ROI, and brand equity
ï¶ Experience managing significant staff, agencies, and/or vendors
ï¶ Experience and comfort with leading meetings and presenting
ï¶ Has gravitas and is comfortable to lead discussions with senior level people internal and external
ï¶ Superior analytical and verbal/written communication skills
ï¶ PC proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
ï¶ MBA in Marketing a plus
