The Microsoft Amalga Hospital Information System (HIS) team creates and applies technology to enable and empower an unprecedented level of healthcare by creating an integrated platform and solution, primarily in emerging markets around the world.

The HIS team is looking for a highly responsive SDET who is passionate about software quality. As a SDET with broadly scoped responsibility in a product where quality has life or death consequences, you will have a great opportunity to demonstrate your programming and technical domain expertise as well as your software testing skills in an environment with a great deal of professional growth and satisfaction. Our team is located directly in the leading medical facility in Southeast Asia, so valuing customer impact is also highly important.

In your new job, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the integrated healthcare solution product through building strategic automation infrastructure and utilizing effective manual testing methodologies. You will responsible for designing, implementing and executing test cases, analyzing, debugging and reporting code errors, white box and black box testing, and designing and developing an automation infrastructure being built from the ground up. You will work closely with your peers in development and program management to ensure the features are complaint to design specifications, test resulting generation and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of good design and object oriented programming experience and a passion for QA

Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, Web Services, and MS SQL Server is essential

BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required

Working knowledge of SQL, Web programming language is also required.

Strong English communication skills

Experience in security, performance and stress testing is a big plus

Experience in healthcare or with healthcare software is also a plus

[Fulltime] - Software Development Engineer at Microsoft Health Solutions Group

We are a startup group with the goal of bringing cutting edge technology to the market in order to change the way medical image storage, distribution and interpretation happens. Our product will leverage Amalga* platform, creating a system that will enable physicians with completely new access to diagnostic images and other patient information. We have Medical imaging industry experts at the core of our team and are looking for additional expertise.

Job Description

We are looking for an expert software developer to join a team of highly experienced senior software engineers to build a solution that can seamlessly connect imaging systems from multiple departments and provide interactive visualization of up-to multi-GB datasets to physicians whether they are in the hospital or at home. You will work closely with domain experts in DICOM, imaging IT, Volume Rendering, large dataset handling and advanced image processing and you will be a key contributor to guide technology selection and strategy to solve data processing and distribution problems that have yet to be solved. You will work and collaborate with our distributed team across the globe (core team in Redmond, part of the team in D.C., supporting development team in Beijing, China and research team in Cambridge, UK).

Requirements and Skills

* Outstanding track record driving products to shipment; using agile methodologies; proficiency with developer tools.

* Demonstrated expertise in software architecture, object oriented design, design patterns, data structures and multi-threading.

* Strong experience and knowledge of .NET framework, C#, WPF, WCF, C++, ATL, STL, HTTP and TCP/IP.

* Solid understanding of COM and interoperability of managed and unmanaged code. * Experience in building scalable high-performance client/server applications.

* Excellent communication skills and experience with cross-site development.

* Strong experience with either distributed databases or distributed scientific computing.

* BS or MS degree in CS, EE or Mathematics and 10+ years of experience in commercial software development.

*Amalga is an innovative health enterprise product that aggregates data from hundreds of clinical and administrative systems and provides doctors, nurses, and the rest of the hospital staff with instant access to comprehensive information about their patients. Amalga was designed and built by technically savvy emergency room physicians, was acquired by Microsoft in August 2006 and is currently being deployed at multiple leading hospitals nationwide.
