We are looking for a Controls Engineer to join our Product Development team as a key contributor in taking our proven technology to the commercial market. This position will report to the Electronics & Controls Team Lead.

Design, develop, and test microprocessor based embedded control systems for portable fuel cell systems. Develop control algorithms enabling robust, reliable, and low cost systems. Provide time and cost estimates for use in project planning according to established project plans. Generate and maintain technical specifications and quality control requirements. Develop clear requirements with systems customers and develop control solutions to ensure all requirements have been met. Coordinate boundary requirements and change control over control subsystems and interactions with the hardware. Troubleshoot controls and software issues and interface effectively with engineering team. Utilize FMEA, Six Sigma, DFMA, and other tools as relevant. Keep manufacturability and cost in mind throughout the design lifecycle. Create test plans, protocols, and data analysis procedures to verify compliance to applicable regulations and quality guidelines. Utilize a standard root cause and corrective action process to permanently resolve controls and systems issues. Provide innovative new product ideas with a strong engineering foundation. Create and manage supplier relationships.
