We are hiring a Front-End Developer to join our growing Creative Department. We are looking for someone who knows and follows web standards trends and is active in understanding the latest techniques. This person must also be fully comfortable spending all day hand-coding web pages using (x)HTML, CSS (even a sprinkling of CSS3) and Javascript. This person is not comfortable in design-view. This person will be working side-by-side with colleagues in a highly collaborative (and fast-paced) environment to create beautiful, standards-compliant code using HTML, CSS and Javascript (if necessary).
If you:
Are passionate for web standards,
Have an expert-level understanding of cross-browser compatibility (IE6+, FF2+, Safari 3+),
Have an expert-level understanding of (X)HTML and CSS,
Have at least an intermediate level understanding of Javascript (Prototype, jQuery, Mootools, etc),
Have at least an intermediate level understanding of a Version Control System (SVN, git, CVS, etc), and
Are able to conceptualize a problem and find the best and most appropriate solution to it.

Experience writing HTML emails

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Being a coding champion for our brands and find new and innovative ways to elevate our creative work (code is art!)
Building web pages for the company websites (tinyprints.com, weddingpaperdivas.com, etc) based on a template provided and within the current website framework
Building landing and promotional pages
Building HTML emails
Researching new browser and web technologies and then implementing them.

Able to work independently with little to no direction while being able to multi-task and handle various on-going projects at once and still remain extremely productive and timely.

A team player.
Additional qualifications and desired skills:
5+ years work experience as a Web Developer
Experience programming for SEO
Experience developing processes/standards/conventions for coding, file naming, CSS
Experience with bug/issue tracking software
B.S. in Computer Science or related field
Experience using Adobe products (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc) and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, etc)
Compensation:
