Associate Project Director. They will oversee, direct, lead and coach account/project managers managing projects that deploy product and technology initiatives. In addition, provide vision and direction regarding best practices for organizing, planning, controlling and executing different types of projects. Previous digital experience a must!
Responsibilities
Assigns appropriate account/project managers.
Provides direction and advice re organizing, planning, controlling and executing specific projects monitors progress and works with program and account/project managers as necessary to take corrective action in order to achieve success.
Manages the company project portfolio, including pipeline projects, active projects and completed projects.
Leads and coordinates the initiation and prioritization process.
Reports high level status and critical issues/risks.
Continuously improves project management practices, processes and tools.
Influences sponsors, champions and other project stakeholders and resource managers to follow standard project management practices and achieve project goals.
Oversees and directs the management of SOWs, Work Orders and Production Support.
Directly and indirectly supervises Account/Project Managers, Sr. Project Managers, Project Management Consultants, Project Management Experts and Project Coordinators.
Manages recruiting and retention.
Manages performance and compensation.
Manages professional/career development.
Works with this team and other leaders to communicate vision and strategy and achieve company and department objectives.
Manages the capture, analysis and reporting of labor metrics and project performance indicators.
Anticipates, manages and mitigates project risks; anticipates issues and manages their resolution
Essential Job Functions
Directs and influences the organization, planning, leadership, control and execution of all projects to deliver products and applications within defined constraints for time, cost, risk and quality/scope.
Develop strong relationships with Sr. Leadership
Participates in steering committees and key project meetings to help ensure project success.
Oversees the execution of process audits to help ensure compliance with project management standards.
Maintains knowledge of products and internal business operations and related strategies.
Supports and contributes to achieving company and departmental goals and objectives.
Adheres to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Submits completed status reports in a timely manner.
Proactively works critical project issues and keeps management informed about their resolution.
Minimal travel required.
Requirements
5-8 years of progressive experience in program and project management managing technology and product related projects.
3-5 years of progressive experience managing Project groups, PMOs or similar organizations in the Internet or Online Marketing space (Pharmaceutical Industry experience a plus)
Understanding of web and mobile technologies, online software development, and application development practices
Very strong leadership skills.
Results driven and goal oriented.
Highly motivated; consistently takes initiative; demonstrated ability to work independently (i.e., with no supervision).
Ability to organize and prioritize.
Strong problem solving skills
Strong aptitude for business and business metrics

In depth experience developing project schedules and budgets and tracking progress and costs.
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Extensive experience negotiating with and influencing internal and external team members.
Excellent judgment, willingness to make decisions and ability to push back on others when appropriate.
