Job Overview:
Our client currently has a Temporary opportunity for an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer.This individual is responsible for preparation and analysis of customer and advertiser data using both relational and OLAP techniques, and its delivery via reporting tools. The successful candidate will be well versed in RDMSs, familiar with data warehouse/data mart concepts, development and use, and have the ability to communicate to both technical and business audiences.
Job Responsibilities:

- Work with business analysts to develop analytical approaches that meet business requirements. This involves translating requests into database queries, analyzing data, and transforming results into actionable reports.
- Design, develop, optimize, maintain and tune SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Develop project plans for the timely development and implementation of analyses.
- Ensure that code and/or processes being developed meet specifications and are clearly documented.

Job Qualifications:

- Minimum of 4 years of Data Warehousing/ ETL/ RDBMS experience. BI/Reporting experience will be a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in one or more of the leading Databases like Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc in a Data Warehouse environment. The candidate should have experience with indexing and optimizing database tables for both reporting purposes and ETL loading purposes.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in one or more of the leading ETL tools like Informatica, DataStage, DataServices, SSIS, etc. Candidate should be able to independently design, tune and maintain ETL implementation.
- Working knowledge of one or more Stored procedure - PL/SQL, TSQL, etc is desired.
- Working knowledge of one or more of UNIX scripting - ksh, bash, perl, Java, etc is desired
- Knowledge of .Net Framework will be a plus
- Knowledge of MPP databases like Vertica, Aster, etc will be a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of data warehousing/ modeling techniques like Kimball/Inmon Methodology is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to structure problems, gather and interpret data and draw conclusions

Education:

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
