ThomasNet.com is a leading destination site for the industrial purchasing and procurement process. Our multiple properties garner over 3 million user sessions per month - buyers use the comprehensive search application to purchase goods and services, and suppliers realize increased sales with our end-to-end web strategies.

We have an interesting opportunity for a business-savvy analyst to guide web developers through the process of creating products for ThomasNet.com and its associated websites / tools. Day-to-day activities include:

• Work with business stakeholders to document technology requirements for projects and assist in determining the suitability of specific technology / platforms to meet these requirements.

• Document current processes and workflows and devise / document QA processes to improve them.

• Help create procedures to increase the efficiency of external vendors.

• Collaborate with internal departments to define new product characteristics and technical implementation.

• Outline data flows and data models (using Visio and other MS Office tools) to facilitate the management and maintenance of data.

Requirements include:

• 2 years hands-on experience with software or web application development. Experience with dynamic online content delivery systems a plus.

• High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office and diagramming software (such as Visio).

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on technical writing and conveying complex ideas. Must be able to provide work samples to show expertise.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.

• Bachelors Degree – preferably in computer oriented discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS)
