Yoh/New York, NYYoh has a contract opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our client in Midtown, NYC.
Job Responsibilities:

- Supports and works with traders, Systematic IT developers and compliance experts on new system functionality or improve existing system functionality.
- Liaise with the global Post Trade team to specify and implement changes required to enable the front office capability.
- Coordinate with business and the technology teams to develop, document and implement robust business lifecycle processes.
- Understand how the business uses these applications and the suitability of the current platform in supporting the business
- Detailed analysis and documentation of the application platform components to be integrated
- Establish strong relationships with business users and IT teams
- Streamline existing processes through innovation and technical analysis
- Test and validate new functionality
- Facilitate business acceptance of completed functionality

Job Qualifications:
We are seeking an individual who has a proven track record in the following:

- Utilizing best practice business analysis principles:

- Process Definition
- Interviewing Business Users
- Documentation Processes and Functionality
- Issue/Risk Identification & Clarification
- Sponsorship / Stakeholder Identification
- Prioritization of work

- Able to adapt to different project styles
- A senior leader with experience in conflict resolution and influencing
- Understands importance of communication and is able to communicate effectively
- Good time management skills
- Has a technical background such as experience using and deploying database technologies, programming or technical architecture

Essential to the role are:

- Experience with managing small teams on BA's in program environments
- A understanding of various business analysis techniques and methodologies
- Business Case Definition & Cost Analysis
- Project management principles and a clear understanding of the role of the Business Analyst
- In depth knowledge of the SDLC (Software Development Life-cycle) and the importance of each phase
- Test Case Definition / User Acceptance Test gate
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Sound technical understanding of how systems work - with the ability to perform basic SQL and Unix commands.
- A strong appreciation of key business drivers and an understanding of the IT impact upon the business are required
