The Company
DPS Health is a pioneer of self-management support technology for the healthcare industry. The Company was co-founded by Dr. Neal Kaufman and Dr. Adam Kaufman. Working with a group of clinical experts they developed the Behavior Change Suite (BCS), a unique and powerful web-based platform that translates effective clinically-linked behavior change protocols into engaging online interventions. Interventions powered by the BCS enable clinicians to efficiently support a large number of patients to help them adopt and maintain health-promoting behaviors through personalized and dynamic learning and doing experiences.
The Opportunity
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for documenting detailed product specifications for building and enhancing web-based products.
Responsibilities
Write Functional Documentation, including use cases, requirements, work flow and rules specifications to ensure the Engineering staff are able to implement detailed designs in the software.
Integrate user interface designs into functional and logical features of the application to ensure designs delivered by the Graphic Design staff are accurately integrated into the described product documentation. Interview stakeholders, including clients, users, clinical experts and internal stakeholders, to gather product requirements and produce the most accurate documentation
Manage review of functional design documents with stakeholders and with engineering staff and update documents based on feedback received in review sessions
Manage the sprint kick-off meetings with review of designs with engineering staff
May manage more junior business systems analysts, or a team of analysts on larger projects
Requirements
Five plus years writing software design documentation required
Proficiency with design documentation software such as MS-Word and Visio required
Business Systems Analysis experience in developing software products for the healthcare industry preferred
Familiarity with writing technical/functional specifications for workflow, decision-support rules, complex calculations, and time-series events
Familiarity with developing annotated wireframes, site maps, and other visual depictions of site structure
Preferred, but not required:
Fluency in Spanish
Experience with AGILE development environments and development of sprint and product backlogs
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required
The BSA position is for a 3 month contract.
