Yoh/Chicago, ILYoh has a contract opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our client in Chicago, IL.
Job Overview:
This contract opportunity is expected to be through the end of 2011; the initial contract will be 3 months with possible extension.
Job Responsibilities:

- Conduct and lead cross-functional area meetings to gather business requirements that may include any or all of the following: product managers, project manager, user experience designers, an development management and/or development team members.
- Perform preliminary analysis and feasibility of new business requirements and requested changes to existing systems.
- Document business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into system designs specifications.
- Facilitate review of business requirements and system design specifications.
- Communicate business requirements and system design specifications so all development and testing team members clearly understand them.
- Review technical designs and documentation to ensure all expected business requirements are incorporated.
- Review and supports test plan and test case development.
- Assist in Documenting user guides.
- Support all development team members throughout a project or release (especially as it relate to understanding a business requirement, understanding the intended system design, or the spirit of a feature or function).
- Support a change control process ensures that all business requirements committed to, are part of the solution designed and that no extraneous features/requests are included into project as it progresses.
- Document proposed change requests.
- Identify and document project issues, develop plans to address them or escalate them to management.
- Perform analysis and report on various topics or questions as requested by management
- Manage project scope, communication, timeline, and other components of project management plans.

Job Qualifications:

- B.S. in Computer Science, 3-5 yrs. relevant work experience or equivalent combination education and relevant work experience.
- 2-3 yrs. relevant work experience in an IT environment
- Experience working in Telecommunications industry or in web-based or e-commerce projects.
- Experience working with Requirements tools such as Enterprise Architect or Requisite Pro.
- Tech skills: Knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle. Proficient in SQL. Experienced in working with Testing ( issue tracking) tools such as Clear Quest, Quality Center, JIRA
- Exposure or Experience working in Agile environment.
- Experience supporting requirements for API development.
- Experienced in all facets of a project life cycle.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.
- Solid written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to be part of a challenging and high-spirited team environment.
