Chief Programming Officer (CPO) (Midtown)

The largest sightseeing and transportation company in the world is seeking a full-time, in-house, CPO.

The CPO will oversee all programming aspects of the Interactive Media and IT departments and must have at least 7 years of hands-on experience or at least extensive knowledge in all Interactive Media programming languages including but not limited to: HTML, PHP, MySQL, MSSQL, .NET, ASP, Java, JavaScript, ActionScript, JScript, XML, API, Ruby, RoR, SOAP, and WebQL. A PCI compliance certified or at least trained person is preferred. Fluency in Russian or Ukrainian will be very helpful.

The CPO will develop and execute unified programming procedures and rules and make sure all programmers both in-house and outsourced adhere to them. The CPO will oversee and be in charge of a team of five existing programmers and will hire and supervise outside firms and individuals on a per-project basis and as needed. All changes, corrections, updates, or upgrades requests received by the IM or IT departments as well as all new projects and internal initiatives required programming will be forwarded and discussed with the CPO who will then assign them to the appropriate existing team member(s) or outsource it if necessary.

The CPO will be responsible for the documentation and storage of all programing notes, flowcharts, wireframes, drawings, drafts, and final applications, codes, scripts, etc. Therefore, communication, management, delegation, and organizing skills are necessary to perform the job efficiently.

The CPO will also research, test, recommend, and approve 3rd party applications necessary for the smooth and efficient operations of the IM, IT, and other departments within the company (i.e. LiveChat, Yammer, ZenDesk, etc.)
