Cognos Project Management Specialist / Yoh / Ridley Park, PA
Yoh/Ridley Park, PAYoh has a contract opportunity for a Cognos Project Management Specialist to join our client in Ridley Park PA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain complex Cognos8 reports. Tuning reports and other BI objects for run time performance.
- Compile and review functional requiements and specification documents as well as interview end users to refine requirments.
Job Qualifications:
- The Cognos Report Developer must have recent hands-on, full life cycle experience with Cognos 8 Report Studio and other tools in the Cognos BI suite.
- Cognos 10 is a plus.
- 3+ years experience designing and developing BI reporting applications using Cognos BI products (Report Studio, Metrics Studio) in a medium to large-scale data warehouse and business intelligence environment.
- Knowledge of dimensional data modeling methods.
- Ability to design and develop dashboards for data visualization.
- Experience using SQL, with relational databases, Oricale preferred.
- Ability to tune reports for performance.
- Experience with Toad and SQL Developer.
- Ability to research source data locations to validate requirements and to assist the ETL development team in validating data in the data warehouse.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a quality or manufacturing environment preferred.
