Company confidential: Front-end expert, Rails intermediate, Wordpress/Drupal capable, client-friendly developer

(New York City area, Anywhere) I’m a small agency based near Boston (soon to be moving to NYC).  I have clients in several industries and we’re building social networking apps, custom web apps, marketing sites integrated into content management systems, and anything else clients throw at us.
I’m a developer with a wide range of skills.  If I don’t have a specific skill that’s needed, I either learn it or find another developer who does.  I personally can do top notch front-end cross-browser work but also design and build a custom web application from scratch.
I need someone who can do the same thing.  Someone who I can pass along projects and work to, who I don’t need to hand-hold, who knows how to check files in and out of repositories, how to find a cool jQuery UI effect and integrate it, how to figure out how a gem works and integrate it, how to take a PSD file and code it all the way through to an easy-to-use Wordpress site, how to interpret what a client asks for and get the work done or ask questions, how to communicate clearly and efficiently.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
Technologies:  (all MUST-HAVEs)

  • Front-end expert - latest HTML, CSS, jQuery, CSS grid systems, responsive design
  • RubyOnRails - Rails 3, lots of gem integration experience
  • APIs - Facebook apps & Connect, Foursquare, Twitter
  • CMSs - Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla
  • PHP
  • Subversion & GIT
  • Photoshop

Traits:

  • Write well
  • Communicate well
  • Ability to speak directly with clients (go tech when necessary but explain in layman’s terms as well)
  • Work quickly and efficient, but MOST IMPORTANTLY pay close attention to details.  We’ve been passing along buggy work to clients too often lately, so there needs to be a balance of fast work, but then a slow and calm review of work before delivery.
  • Keep updated on the latest in technologies relating to what we do.  Front-end advances, HTML5, latest versions of Rails & gems, mobile, new types of apps being developed, Facebook Timeline apps, etc.
  • An eye for design couldn’t hurt - I don’t do design work personally, but I’m often called upon to clean something up quickly for a client.  Would love someone to have that ability as well.

How we work:

  • We work remotely but a face-to-face meeting periodically couldn’t hurt.  We can use Skype as well to review projects.
  • We use Basecamp to manage our projects (messages to communicate w/ client and TO DOs for basic issue & bug tracking)
  • We use an online time tracking & billing app.
  • We use Beanstalk GIT repositories.
  • We use Google Docs for spec docs (when necessary) and Mockingbird for Wireframing and Site Mapping sites when we design.

Future plans:  Moving the business to New York City.  Most of our clients are in the Northeast, and we work remotely, so location doesn’t matter but would HIGHLY prefer a NYC-area developer so we can meet from time to time.
