Our client, located in Glendale, California, has an immediate need for a Creative Lead who is an experienced, versatile visual designer who can take on creative leadership of multiple projects at the same time. This super talent needs to be familiar with and have a passion for creating entertaining and fun interactive experiences including web sites, games and mobile applications on multiple platforms including web, mobile and kiosk-based.

CREATIVE LEAD, ADVANCED PROJECTS

  • This designer and creative leader must have proven hands-on Flash, Photoshop, PowerPoint and Illustrator expertise.
  • Must have competent skills in traditional illustration, design, storyboard, color sense, character design and print. 3-D and video compositing experience is a plus including Maya, Paint and After Effects.
  • Key among qualifications is the ability translate story into design.
  • A demonstrated interest in theme parks and storytelling is a distinct advantage.
  • It is essential in this role to be adaptable to changing technology and restrictions, design challenges, deadlines, and project requirements.
  • The Creative Lead works effectively and efficiently across internal and external teams and may be responsible for taking a design from conception through final implementation.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and be self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Someone who is open to new ideas and able to participate in brainstorm sessions will thrive in this role.
  • The Creative Lead works closely with Creative Manager to ensure improvements, redesigns, and new launches are delivered on time and within specifications. Implemented designs must be able to capture the functionality and visual continuity of a variety of styles and remain compliant with production standards and technology.
  • The Creative Lead must be able to communicate with other creative team members from a variety of disciplines including Flash, Web Development, Copywriting as well as with external vendors and direct their efforts to lead team to a cohesive vision and final product.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce HTML elements and graphics for in-development web sites.
  • Design comps (mockup designs) to incorporate new designs for web pages and presentations.
  • Generate graphic assets including creation of characters, design of icons, promo tiles, landing pages, and manipulate color and layout elements.
  • Create PowerPoint presentation decks.
  • Work closely with the Creative Manager to develop compelling entertainment products and websites that connect our client’s theme parks guests in the parks and at home.
  • Generate new ideas in bluesky sessions.
  • Clarify outstanding issues, and track their resolution.
  • Produce accurate, high quality work.
  • Keep abreast of web trends and research new techniques.
  • Provide time estimates for new work items.
  • Attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with product managers, operations teams, and engineering teams on an ongoing basis.
  • It helps to have a passion for and experience with video games.
