Creative Web and Graphic Designer for Social Media Marketing company (part-time freelancer, NYC location only!)

A start-up social media marketing and PR company is looking for a web and graphic designer.

This is a free-lance position. You will be working from home; although some meetings in the office may be required (therefore you should live in NYC area or close to it).

You responsibilities will include:

• Developing a website and blog design for our company and its clients.

• Designing custom graphics for Facebook tabs, background images for Twitter, YouTube, and other social networks).

• Designing newsletters and e-mail blasts.

Requirements:

• Understanding of Facebook Social Media Plugins (like buttons, share buttons, facebook connect, and so on) and how to integrate them with a web site (blog) is a MUST!

• Understanding of Facebook custom tab creation through iframe apps developement.

• Knowledge of web development protocols and software required, including HTML, CSS, XHTML, HTML5 and JavaScript/JQuery, ActionScript, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator).

• Basic knowledge of PHP (for reveal tabs for Facebook)

• Ability to meet deadlines.

• Familiarity with Content Management Systems.

• Understanding of browser limitations.

• Ability to work independently.

• Excellent communications skills.

Although some meetings in the office may or will be required (therefore you must live in the NYC area or close to it) this is mostly a remote position, so COMMUNICATION is very important. This means you have to have cell phone and respond promptly to texts and calls, also at least one of the instant massagers like AIM.
