Yoh/San Francisco, CAYoh has a contract opportunity for a Curriculum Developer to join our client in San Francisco, CA.
Job Overview:
As a Curriculum Developer on our Global Training & Certification team, you will design and develop training courses for our Developer community which includes customers, employees, and partners. You will collaborate with the training team and cross-functionally across the company to build instructor-led courses, write and review e-learning, and develop certification exams. As a member of the Platform team, you will proactively develop your own understanding of and skills with the declarative and programmatic components of the platform, and translate that into powerful learning solutions that combine solid design, rapid development, and creative delivery.
Job Responsibilities:

- Become a subject matter expert in the Force.com Platform, with in-depth knowledge of the application architecture, declarative capabilities, introductory level object-oriented programming principles and user interface/experience technologies.
- Produce quality course material including: design documents, student materials, presentation slides, instructor guides, job aids, lab instructions and workbooks, assessments and certification questions, lab setup guides and course descriptions using the company's standard development process and templates.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and the product management team to build appropriate course and lab material to support the Force.com Platform, providing code samples and functional, executable results.
- Participate in the certification program as a subject-matter expert and writer.
- Lead technical courses including beta versions of Force.com Platform courses and train-the-trainer sessions.
- Participate in team development projects, utilizing peer review and project management skills to drive completion of a valuable education asset.
- Produce and release the course material. Insure proper quality eLearning product delivery.

Job Qualifications:

- At least 3 years of curriculum development experience with at least 1 year of hands-on experience focused on building content for software developers.
- Solid understanding of Internet technologies, application development methodologies, and On-Demand business models.
- Experience with structured writing techniques and modular content development processes preferred.
- Proven ability to meet project timelines with quality results.
- Track record of innovation in developing training solutions with a portfolio of projects for various audiences.
- Record of effective collaboration in working with product development organizations, as well as internal technical support, consulting and other customer facing resources.
- Experience managing course development projects including scoping resource and timeline requirements and driving project plans.
- Ability to perform all phases of curriculum development (research, planning, writing, organizing, managing, review cycles)
- Use of standard publishing tools (Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat)
- Bachelor's degree required; B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Stereo acuity is a required skill to complete all production tasks.   
- Basic knowledge of a Microsoft Windows environment is required.
- You are a strong course developer and writer who has written for a technical audience in the past.
- You may or may not have programming experience, but you are familiar with the principles of software development and have some exposure to object-oriented programming and web-based technologies.
- Ability to quickly learn new products and technologies with minimal direction, and have an interest in application development and IT processes and programs.
- Proven expertise in identifying the right style and level of content for Developer audiences and have a track record of developing compelling and comprehensive hands-on labs.
- CRM and Cloud solution experience is a plus.

Preferred Job Skills / Experience / Knowledge:

- Rapid Development E-learning tools (Articulate Studio, Captivate, Camtasia)
- Virtual (instructor led, web based) classroom course development and delivery
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) industry, with particular expertise in Service or Sales organizations.
- Agile (SCRUM) development methodology
- Solid understanding of Internet technologies, browser technologies and On Demand business models.
