We are seeking design engineers with good fundamental engineering analysis skills and a good hands-on manufacturing background. Typical duties may include: developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs of compressor components; responsibility for design configuration; cost, weight, and producibility requirements; participating on or leading multidisciplinary product teams to develop and produce new hardware or to improve existing hardware; supporting design reviews and provide technical support to field issues. Significant interaction with internal and external customers is expected; good communication skills and assertiveness are key qualities to possess.

LOCATION: Middletown, CT / East Hartford, CT

Masters Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Machine design, strength work, and structural methods course work a plus

7+ years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or manufacturing related to design, development or repair of gas turbine engine hardware. Candidates with hands-on experience in construction, assembly, or manufacturing processes are strongly encouraged to apply.

Computer skills: Proficiency in 3D solid modeling. Highly capable with Unigraphics a plus.

Some positions may require candidates hold or be capable of holding US government security clearances.

Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, presentation, and organizational skills.
