Design for wine? (Union Square)

If you're a young graphic designer who wants to build your portfolio, this may be for you. The project is to redesign a blog. BEFORE you send in artwork, samples, or a link to your portfolio, please read the details so you're clear on what this is about. A lot of people have responded without being clear on what the project is.

My daughter writes a blog called jawwiredshut.com. Please look it up BEFORE responding so you understand what this about. Her blog is increasingly popular because she writes for Huffington Post too, but it needs to be redesigned to reflect her voice and the attention she's getting from the media (e.g. on GigaOM last week)

The problem is that she's not flush with cash. So I'll help, up to a point. I'm willing to pay a case of wine - probably mixed - some Rioja, southwest France, Chile, Argentina, etc. and you also could get work from my company on various projects, which pays actual cash. You'll also get credit on her blog.

So it's an opportunity to build your portfolio, get some wine and some freelance gigs in the future. It's not an opportunity to get a full-time job. The best way to respond is with a link to your online portfolio so we can see your work. Please don't send an email with your resumé asking if we want to see your portfolio because we do and it's your past work and not your resumé that will determine if you get this project or those that come later.
