We are looking for a proactive and energetic Desktop Support Specialist. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting desktop\laptop Macintosh\Windows systems along with other LAN nodes. Network connectivity, software installation\configuration, hardware, printing, pleasant and expedient interaction with user-clients are the core responsibilities of this role. VoIP telephone and mobile smartphone setup, migration and troubleshooting; Microsoft OCS\Lync, audio-video systems, conferencing, Cisco networking and Interaction with service vendors expected are also within the scope of responsibilities.
Required Skills
• Apple Macintosh OS X versions 10.5, 10.6 installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Windows XP Pro and 7 Pro installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• BlackBerry and Apple iPhone operating systems, configuration, migration and connectivity.
• Microsoft Office 2007 & 2010 for Windows, 2008 & 2011 for Mac, installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Printers, Raster Image Processors (RIPs).
• IP addressing, DHCP, DNS and diagnostics tools (e.g. PING).
• Network share access through SMB, AFP and Windows UNC.
Desired Skills
• Apple Macintosh Server OS X version 10.
• Basic Microsoft Active Directory 2003, 2008 administration.
• Basic Exchange Server 2007, 2010 administration.
• Microsoft Lync 2010 administration.
• Cisco VoIP telephony, wireless and wired networking and routing.
• Nortel VoIP telephony.
• SonicWall firewalls.
• AV systems, audio and video conferencing.
Preferred Certifications:
ACSA and ACSP
