The Digital Marketing Manager will develop and lead internet marketing programs, innovative online marketing techniques and online advertising and community outreach activities to broaden the Stonyfield/Brown Cow community and increase brand loyalists/advocates. He/She will expand brand communications in digital media, drive website traffic and engage site visitors and newsletter subscribers. He/She will lead the website strategy and oversee development and operation of all company websites and email marketing efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

• Develop and manage the digital marketing strategy and budget.
• Develop and oversee a variety of digital marketing programs including but not limited to: search marketing, email marketing, online advertising, affiliate networking, sponsorships, mobile, viral, virtual and emerging media.
• Increase site traffic and quality of visits, build membership in loyalty programs, and increase product trial/purchase intent.
• Create high buzz/word of mouth/viral marketing and implement innovative marketing techniques that drive cost-effective consumer acquisition and retention.
• Collaborate with in-house Social media staff to support and extend key social media initiatives.
• Collaborate with Brand Managers to develop and recommend online strategies to meet and exceed brand goals. Lead and execute upon these defined programs within the agreed upon deadline and budget parameters.
• Oversee development, operation and maintenance of all company websites and digital consumer programs.
• Work with Sr. Management and Brand Managers to develop and maintain a robust website content strategy.
• Develop and manage project plans and timelines for web-related activity.
• Collaborate with IS and staff developers to determine technical standards and best operating practices including hosting services, development language and applications, equipment needs and technical resources.
• Manage web developers including hiring, performance/compensation reviews, technical development, scheduling and work assignments.
• Lead selection process of outside consultants as needed (internet marketing agencies, freelance developers, bloggers, host companies, etc.), negotiate contracts and manage work relationships.
• Keep informed of new internet, digital mediums/technologies and consumer outreach vehicles in order to make strategic recommendations on ways our brands can best leverage them.
• Develop key performance indicators and operating goals and metrics. Track performance and develop and present reports on KPIs and program results. Analyze performance to make ongoing adjustments and recommendations to improve return on investments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 7 years of internet and related marketing experience and BA/BS or higher in related field.
• A passion for discovering and implementing innovative digital marketing activities and technologies.
• Track record of successful projects and career achievements in online marketing that demonstrate innovative thinking, creativity and strong business performance.
• Results oriented with roll-up-the-sleeves attitude – proven ability to execute.
• Ability to think and act creatively, strategically, and tactically.
• Exceptional problem solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong, relentless attention and focus to details.
• Strong knowledge and experience developing and managing the creation of interaction design, user interfaces, visual design and copy.
• Ability to manage teams, advance numerous and diverse projects simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
• Proven knowledge of Internet marketing tactics including SEO/SEM/PPC, email, web analytics, social media, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• A strong understanding of marketing principles, practices and techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of creative processes (web and graphic design), multimedia technologies (digital video production and animation), and internet technologies.
• Ability to work well with and direct creative and technical professionals (designers, copywriters, developers, programmers, brand advocates) to achieve goals.
• Must have an understanding of price/value when purchasing services, online media, sponsorships and other marketing programs--must be able to solicit proposals, compare pricing, negotiate costs and demand performance.
• Ability to adapt in a hectic, changing work environment with a high volume of distractions and interruptions.
• Energetic, infectious leadership and interpersonal skills to lead and manage a team and mentor creativity.
