Job Description
Deluxe is seeking a Director – Enterprise Architecture to continue to drive and successfully manage our existing Enterprise Architecture (EA) program which includes enterprise architecture framework (TOGAF), enterprise architecture processes, and enterprise architecture governance, and maintenance of the EA repository (SPARX). The successful candidate will manage and integrate business, application, information, and finance and organization perspectives into a cohesive view to plan for enterprise project and initiatives, while managing the implementation of that strategy by providing enterprise, data, and solution architects to ongoing IT projects and initiatives.
This position manages a team of fifteen + personnel (permanent, contractor, offshore) comprised of enterprise architects, data architects, and solution architects. The candidate will develop, mentor and coach this team, as well as other IT personnel in other groups to help build EA discipline throughout IT. This position also manages our Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) development team.
The Director – Enterprise Architecture is a key position in continuing to drive implementation of the EA program, SOA strategies (including governance), Product/Customer master data management (MDM/PIM/CDI) implementations, and Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) and Business Process Management (BPM) initiatives.
Qualifications
1. At least ten years in Enterprise Architecture with a minimum of three years in managing and mentoring architecture staff.
2. A proven track record in defining EA roadmaps, target and transitional architectures, and creating/governing reusable solution building blocks.
3. Demonstrated experiences with EA frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman. Preference will be shown to candidates who are TOGAF Level 2 certified.
4. Experience designing and implementing MDM, SOA, BAM/BPM strategies and systems.
5. A comprehensive knowledge of all architectural domains: business, application, data, and intrastate.
6. Experience in the development of Web Services, WDSL, SOAP, etc.
7. Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as superb selling skills with the ability to present strategies to both a technical and non-technical audience.
8. Have experience managing offshore and nationally diverse organizations.
9. Must have the ability to be collaborative and supporting of groups outside of the EA team; must be able to be inclusive and persuasive across the organization.
10. Must be able to do more than just strategy. Timely and quality delivery of EA strategies and artifacts are critical. Successful candidates must have demonstrated experience in successful and timely implementation of EA technologies.
11. Good understanding and experience with Portfolio Management and Partitioning Strategies.
12. Experience with Aligning IT Strategies to Business Strategies to drive implementations.
13. Demonstrated knowledge of industry standard security paradigms, federated security, SSO, WS-Security.

In addition, prefer candidates with experience in high volume e-commerce experience (B2C, B2B, B2B2C).

Education/Certifications
A B.S. in Computer Science or related field. A MBA or MS is highly desirable.
TOGAF Level 2 certification strongly preferred.
