Job Description

Yoh has a direct hire opportunity for an EMR Application Analyst to join our client in San Francisco, CA.

Job Overview:

- Responsible for the implementation, development, maintenance and support of EMR software applications Allscripts / Touchworks, Flowcast and related systems.

Job Responsibilities:

- Participates in the assessment, implementation, configuration and testing of vendor-supplied utilities, applications and systems. Helps coordinate with business and IT departments to ensure accurate implementation of and modifications to the EMR application. Participates in the EMR integration to other systems.
- Is able to translate clinical requirements into technical specifications with assistance. Works closely with key stakeholders to determine impact of EMR software and application changes on other systems and processes. Communicates effectively with managers, affected departments, users and implementation teams. Maintains clear customer expectations.
- Investigates and resolves EMR software and application related problems, issues, questions and concerns. Maintains appropriate logs of EMR software and application related problems and modifications.
- Manages the project life cycle with assistance. Defines end-user needs; assesses business requirements; writes requirement specifications, test plans, training materials and documentation.
- Provides training to customers on how to use the applications. Develops and updates documentation. Ensures that documentation is current and available. Participates in the support for new customers' go live including but not limited to system conversion support and on-site client support during go live period.
- Provides assistance to Business Analysts and other resources in related projects. Works with software vendors and functions as IT liaison.
- Updates and maintains database dictionaries, tables, configurations and rules in EMR software and applications.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of EMR software and application capabilities. Stays abreast of industry direction and trends.
- Ensures that IT standards, policies and procedures are adhered and maintained.
- Accepts and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

- Candidate must be self-driven, and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to translate operational and system processes into clear instructions and/or explanations.
- Position requires a strong understanding of systems and applications with the ability to develop and apply system solutions to operational requirements.
- Candidate must have good communication and excellent analytical and technical skills.

Experience:

- Candidate must have a minimum of two years experience developing EMR or other clinical software application solutions.
- Information technology, systems implementation and healthcare system experience required.
- Experience with Allscripts / Touchworks is required and knowledge or experience with Flowcast is a plus.
