Duties
The creative director of a small health communications agency needs a competent, well-versed web developer to build out Web sites based on approved client prototypes/style sheets. Candidates need to be a resource for trouble shooting and new project proposal contributions. Must be a team player, proactive thinker and have a sense of humor. Versatile skill set in design and layout of print materials a plus.
* Understand technical and functional Web design requirements.
* Build out web site pages per approved client prototype + style guide
* Code and tests technical solutions.
* Identify, trouble shoot and recommend solutions.
* Understands the necessity of and contribute to coding standards.
* Follow internal and external meeting objectives and agendas.
* Prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Skills and Requirements
* US citizens and permanent residents only
* 6 months to 2+ years in web development
* Ability to write JavaScript
* Ability to write clean, semantic XHTML and CSS.
* Solid foundation in HTML, CSS and JavaScript design and syntax
* Experience testing web-based interfaces for compliance with design specifications
* Familiarity with Adobe DreamWeaver CS3 +
* Experience developing with Adobe Flash, new technologies, GUI architecture
* HTML/XHTML, Java Script, CSS applications and PDF documents
* Hands-on experience with Java development
* Ability to implement and enforce design standards
* Knowledge of web standards and interest in following web trends (e.g. HTML5) and browser developments.
* Understanding of general usability principles
* Experience troubleshooting cross browser compatibility issues
* Experience with older legacy systems/issues, i.e. using SSI includes
* Familiarity with CMS systems. i.e. Drupal, Open Source, WordPress

* Understand expectations that were set with client and recognizes when issues/events may affect delivery.
* Good time management and ability to multitask.
* Be responsive to requests and project schedule variations.
