Yoh/Sylmar, CAYoh has a direct hire opportunity for an ERP Systems Manager to join our client in Sylmar, CA.
Job Overview:
Our client is looking to migrate from MFG/Pro to SAP and wants someone who just isn't a good SAP person but has done migrations with MFG/Pro. Also, they must be a strong functional manager and will manage up to 8 people.
Job Responsibilities:

- Working within broad objectives has primary management responsibility, directly or through subordinates, for planning, coordinating and overseeing the ongoing Information Technology (IT) related Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Data Management (PDM) activities as well as other application development activities.
- Responsible for processes across organizational lines.
- Sets goals, ensures that they are met and is responsible for continuous process improvement.
- Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient, and best business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness.
- Troubleshoots complex problems.
- Exercises judgment in planning, organizing and performing work; monitors performance and reports status within area of responsibility.
- Assures that quality of services meets internal and external customer requirements.
- Remains current on developments in field(s) of expertise.
- Ensures employee compliance with company policies and practices.

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent.
- Typically a minimum of ten plus years of progressively more responsible work experience managing ERP and PDM application development in a distributed computing environment, plus experience in a mid-range client server application development environment.
- Development experience with Web based applications is also required.
- Cross-disciplinary knowledge of and experience with industry accepted software design methodologies and project management tools are a must, as is familiarity and understanding of computer-related hardware as well as operating systems.
- Must be proficient in software development.
- Requires highly developed leadership skills/experience sufficient to assume the responsibilities of this management position, including the ability to map task interdependencies, multi-task, prioritize such tasks, meet deadlines, and develop, monitor and live within budgets as well as the demonstrated ability to forecast major milestones. Must be skilled at delegation, follow-up, and team building.
- Must be able to work cooperatively and productively with others.
- Demonstrated verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential.
- Documented record of delivering information that adds value to managements decision making process.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies, and tasks.
- Demonstrated personal computer skills including spreadsheet skills, word processing, data base management and other relevant applications.

Preferred Job Skills / Experience / Education:

- An advanced credential in a relevant discipline/concentration, and/or a Master's degree in Business Administration.
- An applicable professional certification or designation is desired.
- Academic or in-house courses in leadership, training, Continuous Improvement, advanced computer/software science, and technology are highly regarded.
- Completion of the APICS/The Association for Operations Management Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Program is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus.
