Yoh/Albany, NYYoh has a contract opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join our client in Albany, NY.
Job Responsibilities:

- Install, modify, repair and perform preventive maintenance procedures on equipment and systems following SOP policies, procedures and work direction of the supervisor or site lead.
- Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Support customer needs by interfacing with technical support and other support personnel, including development engineering on problems necessitating equipment design changes or new product applications.
- Maintain and initiate direct contact with customers through daily and weekly on-site meetings to assure customer satisfaction.
- Thin film characterization using analytical equipment such as ellipsometry (including in-situ), XRD/XRR, Profilers, AFM, SEM and Nanospec.

Job Qualifications:

- AAS Degree, technical certificate or equivalent required with a minimum of 1-3 years in a technical service or customer relations position.  BS Degree preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Requires excellent systematic troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of thin film deposition preferred.
- Experience working in a clean room facility is preferred.
- Experience maintaining and using high vacuum process equipment and thin film deposition equipment preferred.
